Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all procurement functions for his/her assigned product line. Creating and executing procurement strategies with an eye toward lowering cost, promoting quick turn and on time schedules will be a critical function of this role in order to maintain inventory at planned levels.

The Procurement Manager will also build strong working relationships with cross functional partners within demand planning, production, as well as with external partners and vendors to deliver the highest quality products on time and within cost.

Finally, the Procurement Manager will manage and mentor a team of procurement specialists.

 

Qualifications Required:

Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years’ relevant procurement experience (Beauty or Personal Care experience preferred). At least 3 years of experience coaching/mentoring teams and working with vendors in turnkey and non-turnkey environments. Must demonstrate strong knowledge of procurement & supply chain concepts and best practices as well as strong problem solving and negotiation skills. An ability to thrive in a high growth, fast paced entrepreneurial environment leveraging strong analytical and organizational skills is key. Must have experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus).
