Our client is a family owned company that has been producing great cooking products locally for over 10 years.  The company has strong roots in tradition and believe in producing premium quality, healthy, and delicious artisan products with integrity, passion, and pride.   They produce products that are free of chemicals, sodium, gluten, GMOs, BPA, and that adhere to stringent quality standards which separates them from their competition. 

 Position Overview

The Production Manager will report to the VP of Operations and be responsible for directing and managing a bottling facility to meet production requirements as well as all food safety and quality requirements with the utmost safety, cost effectiveness and efficiency.

Working closely with the VP of Operations on special projects such as purchasing of new equipment, upgrading existing equipment, and leveraging knowledge of processing equipment and systems (SAP) to meet production plans and conduct weekly scheduling meetings are all key functions of this role.

Further, the Production Manager will be responsible for managing and ensuring a balanced workforce in order to meet customer delivery requirements while maintaining excellent product quality. And finally, focusing on continuous improvement as well as motivating, training and managing all employees to meet strict (food) safety standards will be a primary focus.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent work experience. Must understand manufacturing methods, process and continuous improvement programs and quality management systems (including BRC audits). Should have strong knowledge of government regulations (OSHA, FDA, HACCP, cGMP) for food processing and must have excellent communication skills (between Sales, Production, QA, Maintenance & Procurement).
